According to Solarquarter, Canadian Solar Inc. has announced that its subsidiary, e-STORAGE, will supply energy storage solutions for Strata Clean Energy’s White Tank Battery Project in Arizona. The project will feature a 100 MW / 576 MWh DC Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and is scheduled to begin construction in October 2026.

Key Highlights of the White Tank Battery Project

  • Capacity: 100 MW / 576 MWh DC Battery Energy Storage System
  • Technology: SolBank 3.0 by e-STORAGE
  • Start Date: Construction to commence in October 2026
  • Purpose: Enhance grid reliability and integrate renewable energy into the grid
  • Partnership: Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) for 20 years

Enhancing Grid Reliability with Renewable Energy Storage

The White Tank Battery Project will store renewable energy and supply it to Arizona Public Service (APS). By storing excess solar and wind energy during the day, the system will release stored energy in the evening to meet peak demand, ensuring stable electricity supply.

Advanced SolBank 3.0 Technology

e-STORAGE will deliver approximately 120 SolBank 3.0 battery enclosures. These advanced energy storage units are designed for safe and efficient energy management, providing robust performance and durability. SolBank 3.0 also supports smart energy management, enhancing grid flexibility and ensuring clean energy integration.
