On December 27, Tianyi Lithium announced that its lithium hydroxide production line of Sichuan Tianhua, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons, and production line of Tianyi Lithium, with a production capacity of 75,000 tons per year, will undergo a maintenance shutdown starting in January 2025. This maintenance period is expected to last no more than 50 days. The purpose of this shutdown is to conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency in the upcoming year while maintaining the consistent quality of the company’s products.
To reduce the production and supply pressures that may arise from the maintenance shutdown, Tianyi Lithium has developed a detailed plan in advance. This includes optimizing inventory management and supply chain coordination to continuously meet customer demand during the maintenance period. Additionally, the company has implemented measures to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs, thereby proactively responding to market dynamics and customer demands. Notably, Tianyi Lithium achieved a stable inventory turnover rate in 2024, laying a solid foundation for supply assurance during the maintenance period.
Tianyi Lithium is a subsidiary of Suzhou TA&A Ultra Clean Technology. Previously, Tianyi Lithium and Sichuan Tianhua signed a “Lithium Hydroxide Supply Agreement” with one of the leading automotive companies. According to the agreement, a total of 13,000 ± 10% metric tons of lithium hydroxide will be supplied from 2023 to 2024, with the exact volume subject to purchase orders. In recent years, as the demand for lithium has continued to grow, Tianyi Lithium has gained market recognition for its high-quality products and stable supply chain. As of the third quarter of 2024, the company’s lithium hydroxide products held a market share of over 15%. This maintenance shutdown is expected to further strengthen the company’s leading position in the Lithium industry.
